आरोप्यते शिला शैले यथा यत्नेन भूयसा।
निपात्यते सुखेनाधस्तथात्मा गुणदोषयोः॥

Hauling a rock to the top of the hill is incredibly difficult. But pushing it down is very easy. Similarly, one rises with good qualities but falls quickly due to a single misdeed.​

जैसे कोई पत्थर बड़े कष्ट से पहाड़ के ऊपर पहुँचाया जाता है पर बड़ी आसानी से नीचे गिर जाता है, वैसे ही हम भी अपने गुणों के कारण ऊँचे उठते हैं | किंतु हम एक ही दुष्कर्म से आसानी से गिर सकते हैं।
