अर्थी करोति दैन्यं लब्धार्थो गर्वमपरितोषं च।
नष्टधनोऽस्ति सशोकः सुखमास्ते निःस्पृहः पुरुषः॥

arthī karoti dainyaṃ labdhārtho garvamaparitoṣaṃ ca।
naṣṭadhano'sti saśokaḥ sukhamāste niḥspṛhaḥ puruṣaḥ॥

A person who is badly desirous of wealth makes himself pitiable in the pursuit of wealth, he turns arrogant and discontented on attaining wealth and grief stricken if he loses his wealth. However one who is free from desire dwells in pleasure in any situation.
